Recently the new Star Wars: The Old Republic has gained a ton of ground on their rival World of Warcraft. Since Star Wars was released on December 20th more than 1 million people have raced to sign up and play the new world. Star Wars might finally be the game to dethrone World of Warcraft in the MMO scene. Star Wars has already been getting multiple of awards, a total of 105 so far. These awards are for all different aspects of the game, including having top of the line voice acting throughout the newly made universe. With the release of this new universe, you have to choose between the Sith and the Jedi. So far the Sith is leading by 50,000 more users. While there is a massive rush to play the new MMO on the block, what do the reviews say about this game? It hit a score of an 88 on the review from Metacritic, which was the highest for any online world this year. With this new tittle taking over the MMO market, the competition has stepped up their game as well. Sony’s DC Universe Online is now Free To Play and most likely we will see more big name company’s follow in their footsteps. If you are a true fan of the Jedi ways, the world of the Old Republic is bigger than the world of your beloved films. However, in your endeavors, you should expect to meet some familiar faces along the way. You will have the control to venture to planets, be the captain of spaceships, command crews, and choose if you want to be good or evil. Just like in World of Warcraft you can play with all your friends to complete different quests and kill hundreds of different monsters all over the universe. You will spend hours, upon hours roaming around find things to do and missions to complete. With Star Wars: The Old Republic still being in the baby stages of the game, we will see who comes out on top of the MMO food chain later in the year.
